This exciting trip focuses on the visual arts in Cuba, and will take you into the home studios of several independent artists, as well as to the most important galleries, museums, and art centers. You will meet both trained and self taught artists who paint, sculpt, draw, do prints and ceramics, as well as multimedia works and installations. You will see how art has changed during different time periods and learn how recent economic reforms allowing for more self employment has impacted Cuban artists. This program visits Havana and Santiago de Cuba.
